Dear Mark,

I’m seldom at a loss for words, until today.

You know you have my deepest sympathy; it’s hard to express my condolences from so far away, but please know I’m thinking of you. I hope that if you need anything you’ll pickup the telephone and call me. You have been my best friend for over 30 years

This afternoon after learning the passing of Pam, I wanted to call you, again what can I say; I know you have family and friends around you to comfort you.

This afternoon I recalled the day at La Hacienda when you informed us you were getting married; again, how you met this wonderful woman in Florida, and that it was love at first date. Here we thought you were nuts after almost joining a monastery or a blues band!

A few short weeks later you left for Florida to get married, upon returning from your Honeymoon, finding your home without a bathroom and meeting Pam, I knew you found your true love. When you invited me into your home and I met Pam, I knew you two were made for each other. I could see how your life had changed for the better, a wonderful woman, a great homemaker, a best friend, a true love. I only wished I could have been around to experience your new life together.

It was a treat to see you both when I was returned too visit, first for Jimmy Buffett @ Alpine when Pam wanted to surprise Jim and Diane with me stashed away in the motel, and the last time a few years later to devour beef sandwiches at the driving range, then to have dinner with you both and spend the evening watching movies. I’ve been your friend over 30 years and I’ve never known you to be so happy, until you met Pam. I know Pam and you had so many happy memories together, that you will always have to treasure as you heal.

My deepest sympathy goes out to you, Angie and Billy and their families as you go through these difficult times. Pam will always be in our hearts and memories. I grieve with you over your loss.
